Command Sergeant Major Dennis Doyle is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. He enlisted in the Army in July 1996 and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Knox KY as an Armor Crewman.
Prior to assuming responsibility for the renowned 2d Cavalry Regiment, he served in various duty positions to include Driver, Gunner, Division Operations NCO, Brigade Casualty NCOIC, Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Military Science Instructor (MSI), First Sergeant, Senior Observer-Controller and Trainer (OC/T), Squadron Operations Sergeant Major, and Squadron Command Sergeant Major.
CSM Doyle served in 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment in Büdingen, Germany; 1st Cavalry Division G3, Fort Hood, TX; 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, Fort Carson, CO; Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY; 1st Squadron 14th Cavalry Regiment, JBLM, WA; 2nd Battalion, 358th Armor, JBLM, WA; United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, TX; 8th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, JBLM, WA, and most recently in 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, Fort Wainwright, AK. CSM Doyle's operational deployments include Operation Joint Guard/Joint Forge in Bosnia, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn in Iraq.
CSM Doyle's military and civilian education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 69). CSM Doyle is a graduate of the Instructor Trainer Course, Master Resilience Trainer Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, OC/T Certification Course, Combatives Course, SR Commander’s Safety Course, and Combat Lifesaver Course.
CSM Doyle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from American Military University (AMU), and recently earned his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Marketing.
CSM Doyle is married with two children.
