LTC Ryan K. David

1st Squadron

Lt. Col. Ryan David is a native of Springfield, Virginia and commissioned as an Infantry Officer from Arizona State University in 2006.

Lt. Col. David most recently served as the Branch Chief and Joint Operational Planner for CENTCOM J35. LTC David previously commanded A Co, 4-31 Infantry Regiment. His prior assignments include Instructor, United Kingdom Junior Staff Center; Operations Officer for the 2d Cavalry Regiment; Operations Officer and Executive Officer for 1st Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment; various assignments on the Army and Joint Staff; Executive Officer for RHHT, 75th Ranger Regiment; and Platoon Leader in the 1-502nd Infantry Regiment (AASLT).

Lt. Col. David has multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan with the 1-502nd IN (AASLT), 75th Ranger Regiment, and 10th Mountain Division.

Lt. Col. David’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star medal, and four meritorious Service Medals, and various other Army and Joint awards. He has earned the Ranger Tab, Expert and Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Army and Joint Staff Identification Badges.

Lt. Col. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona as well as a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Lt. Col. David is married to Laura Blickley, formerly of State College, Pennsylvania, and has three children: Landon, Harrison, and Mary.
