Command Sergeant Major Andrew P. Davis is a native of Denver, Colorado and enlisted in the Army in 1998 as an Infantryman. He has served in numerous leadership positions including Squad Leader, Sniper Section Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Operations Sergeant Major. CSM Davis is currently pursuing a bachelor’s in science for Business and Management.
CSM Davis has attended numerous military schools including all NCO Professional Development courses, Airborne School, Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, U.S. Army Sniper School.
Command Sergeant Major Davis’s previous assignments include Fort Liberty, NC, 1-504th PIR; Fort Liberty, NC, C Co., 2-504th PIR; Fort Jackson, SC, C Co., 2-60th Infantry Regiment; Schofield Barracks, HI, S3, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 25th Infantry Division; Fort Bliss, TX, The United States Army Sergeant Major Academy, Wiesbaden Germany, U.S. Army Europe and Africa G5 SGM and Grafenwoehr Germany, 1-91st ABN Operations SGM.
CSM Davis has five deployments. Three in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from September 2003-April 2004; from January 2007-March 2008; and August 2009-July 2010. In Addition, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Enduring Freedom twice, which bookended his OIF deployments beginning July 2002-March 2003; and ending with March-August 2012.
CSM Davis’s awards include: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal(2 OLC),Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal for Valor, Army Commendation Medal (7 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Valorous Unit Award (3 OLC), Navy Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Superior Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Ranger Tab and the Master Parachutist Badge.
Command Sergeant Major Davis is married to Alethea C. Davis, and they have five children, Autumn (25), Isabel (21), Dante (20), Milena (12), and Ava (8).
