CSM Christopher McMillin

3rd Squadron

Senior Enlisted Advisor

Command Sergeant Major Christopher L. McMillin is a native of Mt. Zion, Illinois and enlisted in the Army in May of 2001 as an Infantryman.

He attended one station unit training at Fort Benning, Georgia.

CSM McMillin has served in every leadership position from team leader to 1SG.

His assignments include Fort Lewis, Washington, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, Fort Polk, Louisiana, and Fort Bliss, Texas. He has deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan for combat operations.

CSM McMillin’s military education includes Ranger Indoctrination Program, Airborne School, Ranger School, Emergency Medical Technician, Jumpmaster, Basic Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Observer Controller course, and Battlestaff. His civilian education includes a high school diploma from Mt. Zion, Illinois and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Loras College.

CSM McMillin’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star ( 2nd award), Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Joint Service Commendation Medal with V Device, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (5th award), Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (6th award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (3CSS), Iraq Campaign Medal (3CSS), Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 5), Overseas Service Ribbon (4th award), and Army Service Ribbon. His decorations include the Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s, Canadian Jump Wings, and Israeli Jump Wings

CSM McMillin is married with three children.
