CSM Frank Guerrero III

Command Sergeant Major Frank Manuel Guerrero III was born in California. He entered the United States Army on July 15, 1998 and completed the One-Stop Unit Training (OSUT) as a 19D Cavalry Scout in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

CSM Guerrero has served as a Scout, Gunner on M60 Machine Gun, TOW, MK-19, and M2 Machine Gun with 1/2 ACR Fort Polk, Louisiana; Team Leader, 25mm Bushmaster Chain Gunner on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle with 4-7 CAV Camp Garry Owen, Korea; BFV Commander with 2/3 ACR Fort Carson, Colorado; Drill Sergeant with 5-15 CAV Fort Knox, Kentucky; Platoon Sergeant with 3-61 CAV Fort Carson, Colorado; RSTA BN Senior Advisor with 196th IN BDE Fort Shafter, Hawaii; First Sergeant for the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Capability Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; First Sergeant for B Troop, 6-1 CAV Fort Bliss, Texas; First Sergeant for HHC BDE 1st SBCT, 1st AD Fort Bliss, Texas; and Operations Sergeant Major for 3-4 CAV Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

CSM Guerrero completed all required levels for his current rank of the Noncommissioned Officers Professional Military Education system. He is a graduate of Drill Sergeant School, Basic Instructor Training Course, Battle Staff Course, Commander/ Frist Sergeant Course, Leaders Training Awareness Course, and a recent graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 68.

CSM Guerrero has participated in two combat operations; Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom I; 2003 to 2004 and Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom X; 2009 to 2010.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal (3 oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal (2 oak leaf cluster); the Army Achievement Medal (2 oak leaf cluster); the Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award); the National Defense Service Medal; the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with star); The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; The Global War on Terrorism Medal; the Korean Defense Service Medal; the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (with numeral 5); the Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (with numeral 3); NATO Ribbon; Drill Sergeant Badge; Combat Action Badge; and the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Gold).                                                                                   

CSM Guerrero is married with four children.
