LTC Keith W. Brown

Lieutenant Colonel Keith W. Brown Jr. is a native of Richmond, VA. He received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps with an 18-month branch detail in the Field Artillery Corps from the Virginia Commonwealth University Reserve Officers Training Corps in 2004.


From 2004 to 2011 Lieutenant Colonel Brown served in successive assignments as: Multiple Launch Rocket System Platoon Leader, 1/38TH Field Artillery Battalion, CP Stanley South Korea; Supply Support Activity and later Operations Officer, A Company 602nd Aviation Support Battalion, CP Humphreys, South Korea; Executive officer, 262nd Quartermaster Battalion FT. Lee VA; Logistics Advisor 1st Infantry Division, Baghdad, Iraq; and Commander Headquarters Support Company, 501st Special Troops Battalion, CP Carroll, South Korea.


From 2011- 2014 Lieutenant Colonel Brown was assigned to the 7th Transportation Brigade at Joint Base Langley Eustis, FT Eustis Virginia where he served as the Brigade Air Movements Officer and Executive Officer for the 53rd Transportation Battalion. Following his graduation from the Command and General Staff College in 2015, Lieutenant Colonel Brown served as the Support Operations Officer and later Executive Officer of the 188th Brigade Support Battalion at FT Bragg, North Carolina.


In 2017, Lieutenant Colonel Brown joined the Army Staff where he served consecutively as an Action Officer and Executive Officer on the Army Talent Management Task Force; Executive Officer to the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff G4; and Sustainment Fellow in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment. From 2020-2022 he served as a Surface Mobility Officer and the Chief of Prepositioned War Reserve Materiel in the Logistics Directorate of the Joint Staff.


Lieutenant Colonel Brown's professional military education includes: The Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, Supply and Services Management Officer Course; Mortuary Affairs Officer Course; Military Transition Team Advisor Qualification Course; Combined Logistics Captains Career Course; Joint Logistics Course; Support Operations Course; and the Command and General Staff College. He holds a BA in Sports Management from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a MS in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University.


His awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Army Superior Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal (2ND Award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3OLC), Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge, Army Staff Identification Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.


Lieutenant Colonel Brown is married with three (3) children.
